  This house is a short walking distance to the Lightner Museum, where my daughter got married. It is also a short walking distance to the Casa Monica, and various restaurants in the historic district of Saint Augustine. It sleeps 12, which is very convenient for family members and the wedding party. We enjoyed our stay but the house does need some furniture upgrades. In particular, the sleeper sofa in the living room needs to be replaced. The bed portion when pulled out does not lay flat and is very rickety.The master bedroom mattress needs to be replaced as it sags in the middle. Also, an outside front door mat would help to keep the dirt out as you walk in. There were plenty of towels and sheets. There was also a coffee maker with coffee supplied and condiments. There was washing machine detergent and dishwasher detergent provided. There was plenty of cookware and utensils. There were also a variety of board games to play.

  Where to begin? We stumbled on this property by pure luck! It was perfect! Clean, modern, easy access, secure, just perfect. I can’t say enough about it! 4 spacious rooms of which two are master bedrooms! I had plenty of room for my daughter (the bride) and family. Wedding day was spectacular! Plenty of room for staging prep areas - makeup and hair as well as food stations for noshing. Everyone was so impressed! And the property is a short 5-10 minute walk to the restaurants and shops. Convenient given the heavy traffic in St. Augustine!

  We just returned from a wonderful stay at the Stonewall House in St. Augustine. The house was as lovely in real life as it was in the photos. It was spotless when we arrived; was in a great area very close to old town; and the check in and check out process went seamlessly. We would highly recommend this property to anyone seeking a relaxing vacation in the St. Augustine area. The one thing that we would note for possible renters is that one of the neighbors in the area has a rooster - and he likes to make himself known very, very early in the morning. There is, of course, nothing that the owners of Stonewall House can do about this. But potential renters should know that he will crow between 4:30-5:00 each morning. It became a running joke for our family - but if sleeping in is a big deal for your vacation, just be aware that the local rooster will wake you up fairly early. All in all it is a wonderful location - close to old town - but far enough away that you can relax on the decks in peace and quiet.
